Most likely plan...

I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year and that you've recovered enough from the festivities to stomach the suggestion of another knees up! Now that we are in 2010 Rachel and Dave's wedding is rapidly approaching and so I want to fill you in on the initial hen party plans. Anything less than super organised just isn't Rachel's style, so feel free to make any suggestions to me, her not so organised sister! Some of you have already been on some hen parties together so you'll know, better than me perhaps, what she'll be expecting.

Rachel fancies starting off her day with a cookery school day based in London inviting all ladies i.e. Mum, Mum in laws to be, aunties and friends. We would all be taught how to make a posh meal and sit down to eat our efforts with wine afterwards. They welcome us with champagne and then we divide into three teams to make starters, mains and desserts. At the moment we're looking into the Cookery School at Little Portland Place (see quick links in left panel of this blog).

After that, for those who can keep up the pace and can endure the shrills, we thought hiring a room in a karaoke bar would be a laugh! Also, if you can't make the cooking school this will be your chance to hen it up!

Have a look at Lucky Voice Bar (Soho) web link in the left panel again to get an idea of what you're in for!

We're looking into prices and availability for all this at the moment so will fill you in soon then you can RSVP (unless you already know you won't be able to make it). I suppose the most important bit for now is to put the 24th April in your diary if you can.

I hope this blog works, it's my first attempt! x

  2. Thanks Lisa, a couple of emails bounced back so I've updated them with Rachel. Hope everyone has been invited now!

I don't know who the cats are, I just thought Rachel would like them hanging with the hens etc (although thinking about it I don't think she'll see this blog!).

Yes I'd love to come to the cookery class, but I think this mum at the karaoke club might just dampen things for you young ones!

    Speak soon
